Old Man Metal A classic-sized juggernaut of mid-length, down-and-mid-tempo doom-ish death metal that's unrelentingly driven by grinding, propulsive death-chugs and power-chord brutality, creating a dystopian, implacable, war-scorched feel. Contrasting deathdoom quagmires delay and demoralize, and vehement tremolo-picked irruptions occasionally provide glimpses of hope... but more often than not just beget another layer of hellish torment. An excellent modern death metal album.
